Lectures, Workshops and Seminars
on relevant Eastern Indian topics

by Hans-Georg Türstig, Ph.D.

Welcome to the opportunity of opening up to an ancient tradition of living a life of true human fulfillment! After studying Indology, receiving a PhD in Sanskrit and living and doing research in India for over 13 years, my wife and I recently moved to Santa Fe, an area in many ways similar to Mahārāshtra, India. Apart from working as a digital artist, I attempt to share my knowledge and experience of the sacred traditions of India. A meditation room with original stone sculptures from South India installed offers the chance for a holistic experience of the teachings of the many saints and sages of ancient and modern India. We can integrate their way of life into our modern lifestyle and thereby increase love, peace, fulfillment and understanding in our daily experience of the world.

During this weekend we will explore the original meaning and traditional practices of various kinds of Yoga with the help of original Sanskrit texts. We will practice mantra-repetition and chanting with original recordings from India. And we will meditate with instructions from Sanskrit texts such as the Vijnānabhairava.

Further events are being planned such as an introduction into Tantra, another often quite misunderstood topic. If you are interested in or would like to suggest any particular aspect of the Indian Tradition or would like to study a particular text, please let me know.
